By distributing the weight widely over the entire head we achieve a large sweet spot and a more stable head resistant to vibrations and distance lost on miss hits. By lengthening the top blade we create more of a sense of security at address, giving the head the illusion of a larger size. A slightly thicker top blade creates the image of better impact and not being able to miss. Impact feeling and energy efficiency are improved by adding thickness to the backside of the cavity right around the impact area. A forgiving but pleasing feeling iron.
